Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise was an American singer, actress, and writer who is best known as Ginger Grant from the TV series Gilligan's Island. The actress began her career in stage shows during the 1950s beginning by performing in Two's Company a musical by Bettle Davis. Following that, she performed on Broadway for a number of shows until the year 1957, in which Li'l abner was famous at the National Theatre. Her album, It's Too Late for Tina the in the same year. Louise began with her Hollywood career in 1958, as she played Griselda Walden in God's Little Acre, a drama film. The film was a massive success and Louise received an award called the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the Years category. During this time, she studied at the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her tutor. In 1964, she signed with CBS and portrayed Ginger Grant. Louise continued to juggle her work effectively in between Broadway as well as Hollywood portraying somber characters as contrasted to her perception of being a glamorous doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1, and Helen Magnus on Sanctuary. In the last few years she's also been an acclaimed director of well-known TV series like Supernatural as well as The 100. Her birth date was the 28th of August, 1965, in Essex. When she was 3, her family moved her to Toronto in Canada where she spent throughout her early years. Following her selection for the role as Samantha Carter, she moved to Vancouver in 1997, and has lived there since.
