Zoe-perry
Perry is born July 25, 1968 in Chicago, Illinois to Laurie Metcalf Perry and Jeff Perry. Perry made her debut in the television screen in the role of Jackie Harris, a character that was played by her mother on her role on the ABC comedy Roseanne. She did not pursue acting as a career until after she had reached adulthood, as her parents were worried about the detrimental effects that stress could have. Perry states that she did not want to perform in highschool but decided to start performing as a form of social interaction at Northwestern University when she switched to the university from Boston University. After graduating Perry went to New York to search for jobs on television, landing small parts in shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent but homesickness brought Perry back home to California and she was able to find theatre work. The Other Place was performed by her and her mother on Broadway in 2013. In 2015, she appeared alongside Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning Drama Anna Christie. Odyssey Theatre Ensemble Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. Perry was featured nine times on the ABC thriller The Family, in 2016. Her father portrayed her in The ABC drama Scandal. In addition, she played in the role of a young Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon which was an CBS spin-off of The Big Bang Theory. She was cast in the role in an audition that was open despite being a fan of this character.
