Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez was born in Mexico. She is an American Mexican actress. She sings as well. She was raised by her mother, and her father, in USA. Raised with racial insults, she was felt unloved. She began to gain confidence at the age of nineteen after she took part in a school audition. She received a lot of praise by the judges for her vocal ability. The experience not only helped to boost her confidence, but also changed the direction she was heading in her the future. She was a graduate of the New York's Julliard School at the age of 22. When she was 23, she made her debut on Broadway in Paul Simon's The Capeman and in films featuring You've Got Mail. Her biggest break came with her performance as The Lady of The Lake, in the first Broadway production of Spamalot. She was awarded the Tony Award and received great praise for the role. Later in the same year she joined the ABC program Grey's Anatomy as Dr. Callie Torres and gained wider appreciation for her performance. In addition to being an acclaimed singer she released a solo as well as an extended version. In her role as an activist, she strives to promote LGBT equality.
